I have just completed a gum graft by Fiona MacKillop and I am totally thrilled with the result. A year ago I had no idea that it was possible to do anything about my gum line which was badly receded over two of my front teeth, and seriously affected my smile. It is now completely transformed, impossible to see that a graft has been done and for the first time I'm looking at photos feeling proud of my teeth! I was doubtful at first but this was completely worth paying for. Fiona is irrefutably a highly skilled and expert practitioner who took meticulous care. With her assistant Emily, I was in completely safe hands. They were both reassuring, calm and funny. I have no hesitation in recommending them. For something as important as this, I would be prepared to pay more for the right person, however I found they they were not excessively priced for this treatment. Dawood and Tanner is an absolutely incredible Dental Practice. In my experience, everyone is extremely skilled & professional but also warm and friendly which puts you at ease. I saw Chloe today for a Hygenist appointment, she gave me lots of tips on how to look after my implants & gums, what dental ‘tools’ to use (special brushes & floss etc.) to keep them in good shape. She made me feel very comfortable in my appointment and my mouth felt lovely and clean afterwards. I then saw Susan (Tanner) & Andrew (Dawood) for a check-up. I had a few questions which they kindly answered and in the process put my mind at rest. Amazing practice - I wouldn’t go anywhere else now! I whole-heartedly recommend 😊
I have escaped invasive dental work until this week when I had to have root canal treatment for a cracked back tooth and an extraction of another tooth which was too cracked to be saved. I was nervous but Shanon did a wonderful job on the root canal and Andrew stepped in to do the extraction late in the day. They were both sensitive to my anxiety, and did an excellent job. I cannot recommend the practice more highly.
Such a professional setup. Arrive knowing you'rw in good hands, leave feeling relaxed knowing your dental concerns are/will be resolved. Used them 7 years ago and moved to countryside, and came back to them despite the extra travel just to get the level of service and expertise. All worth it. 🩷

Her assistants are just amazing. My case was very complex and required over a year of treatments.I was also happy with Dr Patel that made root canals a walk in park. Professor Patel and his team were incredibly professional and efficient. I had a particularly challenging root canal and being an extremely nervous patient, I was dreading it. However there was no need, I didn’t feel anything and I didn’t need to take any painkillers after the treatment. Amazing treatment and care from Professor Patel and his team. Thank you

Everyone that I have met at the practice is not only really professional and very good at what they do but they are also very friendly and are experts at making patients feel at ease before any procedure. I am never in any pain after treatment which must be a testament to the skill of Dr Mackillop. I would not hesitate to recommend her. The same is true of hygienists Elizabeth & Tannaz. My teeth always feel and look super clean after dental hygiene with them.
I always feel well informed about any treatment I need as all the details are confirmed in advance in writing so I know what to expect and if I have any questions these are answered quickly.

I discovered Dawood and Tanner some years ago after experiencing problems with previous root canal work. Fiona Mackillop was amazing and I couldn’t have been more satisfied.
However, my recent experience has exceeded my expectations. I needed emergency treatment following a fall on holiday in Australia. A quick call ensured that they saw me the day I arrived home, two further appointments were arranged and a temporary bridge was fitted within just three days! Amazing service.

Fiona MacKillop, my periodontist and Taz, my hygienist have looked after my teeth for years and without these brilliant experts I definitely would have lost teeth and suffered hugely. Fiona MacKillop recommended I see an oral surgeon recently as she suspected there was something wrong with my gums and the skin in my mouth. To explain for 1.5 years since the 4th Covid vaccine I have been suffering very debilitating external skin diseases . I have seen many dermatologists without any results or cure . Finally Professor Fedele following several biopsies diagnosed Lichen Planus an autoimmune disease that has been triggered by the Covid vaccine. This has led to further investigations where Lichen planus has been detected in other areas of my body. Without Fiona’s prompt referral I would still be suffering and none the wiser as to what is wrong with me. Possibly without treatment it could have turned cancerous. I am hugely grateful and so lucky to have had such advanced and thorough treatment at Dawood and Tanner . It is an extremely advanced practice and the staff and kind, yet exemplary and efficient. Fiona and Taz have saved my teeth and possibly my life. My thanks and gratitude to you both and all the staff .

So i first heard of Dawood and Tanner from a radio ad. I took a look at their website and was very impressed with what i saw. A vast array of treatment options and services all under one roof. I had to check them out. Best thing i ever did! Even the first phone call to arrange an appointment was more warm and welcoming than anything i had ever experienced previously from anywhere else. I met with Fiona and Emily and they made me feel so at ease. Fiona explained things in a very simple, knowledgeable and professional manner but also in a way that didn't scare me half to death. I learned more from just one visit than i had in the last 20 years. I have been there a few times recently, and now Liz the hygienist is also looking after me expertly too. Each time it has been a positive experience for me and i feel totally relaxed each time i go there. We have a good laugh too and i leave there equally relaxed. I have read a lot of the other reviews on here for D&T and they echo all of my thoughts completely. There are a couple of negative ones though that don't make any sense to me whatsoever and are nowhere close to my experiences. Believe me.....if you're looking for a fantastic dentist , you're on the right page. If in a few days/weeks you're still not sure and still sitting on the fence, then you must like splinters! I'm looking forward to seeing Fiona, Emily and Liz again soon. I know i'm in good hands.
I find that the team is professional, warm, caring and very knowledgeable. I especially appreciate the excellent dental care from Dr Mackillop. She's very methodical and makes sure I am never in any pain. I especially appreciate how gentle and efficient she is, and the dental procedure never lasts any longer than it has to. I have been attending Dawood and Tanner for some 24 years! My mouth was in need of a lot of work, despite the fact that I regularly visited a dentist (evidently not a good one though). My root canals were failing and I had gum disease! At Dawood and Tanner I had many hygiene visits and deep cleaning from Fiona MacKillop and then she performed surgery on my gums. Eventually I was rid of gum disease. Then Andrew Dawood sorted out my root canals and my implant. The hygienist helped me with teeth whitening. I developed a gap between my front two teeth due to the previous gum disease allowing the teeth to twist and that needed to be addressed with orthodontics. I had braces fitted to both my top and bottom teeth to straighten them to prevent the damage getting worse. One and a half years later they were straight. Next issue: my jaw was slightly crooked causing my teeth to wear down at an angle. To address this problem Andrew Chandrapal bonded my teeth and Fiona adjusted my crowns to create an even biting surface. Jenny Huntley makes sure my hygiene is kept up to scratch; I see her every three months. Over the years I have seen the business grow, adding more staff and more services, but still staying warm and genuinely friendly. They have some of the best equipment anywhere and they work as a team. At one point 3 experts had a meeting about my teeth! Yes it has stretched my finances over the years but I still have my teeth - I can eat well, they look really healthy and natural, and will continue to last me the next 24 years with help from the team at Dawood & Tanner.
Loved the new 'Pressured Water' cleaning tool the hygienist Chloe used. So much gentler than the usual methods that always set my nerves gangling. Excellent session. Very impressed.

I have had implants carried out by Andrew ( whole mouth ) in 1 day I have been so impressed with the outcome after care was excellent by Susan on a regular intervals and I am still attending for hygiene 4times a year . I would highly recommend Dawood and Tanner as Andrew & Susan are very warm & caring towards their patients
