Dawood and Tanner continues to maintain the highest possible standards of hygiene and patient safety: Excellent hand hygiene, surface protection, state of the art sterilisation services, and the use of personal protective equipment is something that we do all day, every day, for every patient. This is not something new for us, it is just part of our everyday practice, and always has been.
Our 30 year experience in practice, always with gold standard hygiene and infection control means that we know that we are successful in keeping our patients and staff safe.
We do not treat patients who have a cold, or who have flu-like symptoms – once again, this is not something new. Sick patients generally would not want to see us, and we do decline to treat patients who are unwell. Of course with recent developments we have insisted upon hand washing or sanitation for all patients entering the practice, and have taken the precaution of emailing every patient in advance of their appointment as a reminder to contact us should they feel unwell, have recently returned from overseas, or have some other concern.
Our normal good practices are the very best line of defence against COVID-19, but we also of course follow guidance from the public health authorities and the Royal Colleges.
We continue to monitor the situation daily and will update our approach as it evolves.

3D Imaging and CAD Planning
We lead in Digital Dentistry with state of the art CBCT facilities, DXT Suite, CAD Surgical Planning software, and our extensive 3D Printing and Milling facilities. Using this technology allows us to streamline our patient’s treatments, making them faster, less invasive, with the ability to carry out multiple procedures in a single step instead of many.
3D Printed Surgical Guides
We have in-house industrial 3D Printers to create 3D printed cutting guides and templates. Using these allows us to plan and rehearse implant surgery before the patient is the chair. For our patients this means fewer appointments, maximum surgical precision and a quicker recovery.
Surgical Navigation
Dr Andrew Dawood completed the first procedure in the UK using the X-Nav. Surgical navigation apparatus. The technology is designed to elevate the surgeon’s control and precision over the entire dental implant process. This allows him to have a freehand, but still highly controlled approach to the implant surgical procedures.
Nobel Biocare™ Implants
Our dental implants and restorative components are supplied by Nobel Biocare™; we keep the largest stock of implants and components in the UK. Our patients benefit from the most appropriate implants and components for each individual situation.
