Almas Husain
GDC 72290 Registered Specialist in Orthodontics
BSc, BDS, MFDS RCS(Edin), MSc, MOrth RCS(Eng)
My interest in orthodontics developed during my childhood years, as an orthodontic patient. This resulted in me following my passion and I qualified as a dentist from Guy’s Hospital in 1996. During my undergraduate dental training I also intercalated a BSc in Biomedical Material Science at Imperial College London. After several years of working in a series of Senior House Officer posts in Oral and Maxillo-Facial Surgery, Orthodontics and Restorative Dentistry and general practice I embarked on a 3 year full-time specialist training in Orthodontics at King’s College London Dental Institute.
I am a registered specialist in Orthodontics and routinely use a combination of modern and traditional techniques for both children and adults. My passion is to treat each patient using a variety of advanced, discrete and the safest brace types to suit the each patient’s unique orthodontic problem, expectations as well as taking into account their lifestyles. As well as using Damon braces, I also use invisible brace systems such as Invisalign and Incognito lingual braces.
