GDC 4829 Registered as a Dental Hygienist
Senior Dental HygienistEDH
I grew up in Alberta, Canada and was lucky enough to see a Hygienist every six months from an early age. It was a very positive experience and possibly those early years set the seed for my future career.
My first ever job was assisting in a Dental Practice in my home town for the summer. I immediately knew that I would like to make a career in Dentistry. I went to college to qualify as a dental nurse in Canada in 1990.
I moved to London in 1994 as I had been offered a place at The School of Dental Hygiene at Kings College London. After Graduating I stayed on as a tutor Hygienist for a while, and loved working with the amazing faculty and teaching the enthusiastic student hygienists. I joined Dawood and Tanner in 1998; after seventeen years I still find the work very fulfilling and enjoy the combination of caring and teaching. Each day is different; I feel we are working at the cutting edge of Dentistry and love the challenges.
In my spare time I enjoy outdoor activities, including hill walking and off-road motorbike riding!
