I completed my dental training at the University of Bristol Dental Hospital & School. I am a registered GDC specialist in Restorative Dentistry, Prosthodontics, Endodontics and Periodontics. My main clinical and research interests lie in the oral rehabilitation of individuals affected by developmental or acquired dental anomalies, including hypodontia (missing teeth), head and neck oncology and developmental defects of enamel and dentine.
I have been a Consultant in Restorative Dentistry since 2010 and currently work at the Eastman Dental Hospital where I am the Lead Clinician in Prosthodontics. I am heavily involved in postgraduate dental education and was elected as the Chair of the specialty advisory committee in Restorative Dentistry (2017-2020) and chief examiner and chair of the Membership of the Joint Dental Faculties of The Royal College of Surgeons of England (2016 – 2020).
In June 2020, I will take up the post of Dean of the Faculty of Dental Surgery, Royal College of Surgeons of England.
